This is going to be quick since my day was nothing out of the ordinary and I’m super sleepy!

Last night my 5 miles had me snacking in bed:

Clemmie (x2) and a 100 calorie pack of almonds and walnuts

Great combination of exactly what I was craving!
I woke up at 7 to go the gym, but I realized I wouldn’t have time to get in everything I wanted to shower, get ready, and get to my friend’s house by 10 so I pushed it back. I lounged around with some coffee before making breakfast.

1 cup plain 0% Fage, 1 cup of MultiGrain Cheerios, and a banana

A little bit on the bigger side for me since I didn’t know when I’d be able to eat lunch. I got ready and met my friend at her house before we headed to New Haven. We stopped at IKEA where she picked up some Christmas presents and I admired all of the home decorations I want for my nonexistent apartment. Then we headed to Urban Outfitters where I admired all of the clothes I can’t afford 😦 Christmas can’t come soon enough! It doesn’t seem like it was that long, but our trip ended up being about 3 hours with all the weird and unnecessary traffic we hit going home. For some reason we were both exhausted (and cranky) and just couldn’t wait to get back! I rushed home to quiet my rumbling tummy. Lunch was extremely green!

Buffalo Crackwich (Arnold’s MultiGrain Sandwich Thin, hummus, LC plain wedge, Frank’s hot sauce) with spinach! Plus steamed brussels and green beans with salt and pepper.

I devoured it (SO GOOD!) and promptly passed out for 3 hours. How old am I??? I woke up intending to head to the gym, but I had to wait for my brother to get back with my car. While I was waiting, I ate this half of a banana:
I intended to just go the elliptical and stair master today since my legs were a little tight and sore from yesterday’s 5 miler, but when I finally got to the gym, I felt like running. I banged out a 5k (3.1 miles) in 28:28 and then ellipticalled on random for 10 minutes + a cool down.
Dinner was muy delicioso:

Baked sweet potato with 1/2 cup of black beans, 1/4 cup of Fage and Frank’s + 1 cup of spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and parm.

Two of my new favorite things together = fab.

I just had a great snack!
1.5 tbsp of Ghiradelli unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 cup of skim milk and a packet of TrueVia + 2 clemmies

Real hot cocoa is so good! As much as I rely on the packets, this was so yummy and satisfying! I’m seriously exhausted – still catching up from finals I guess? Watching The Office and passing out. Good night!
Highlight of the day: Getting almost $50 ($47.38) in change turned into cash at the bank! Yay spare change!
P.S. Yes, I eat almost every meal and snack on Santa and my snowman bowl. Don’t worry, I was them every time!

I’m so glad it’s Friday!  Today is payday and shopping day!  I need to hit up Big Y for a few goodies for the week and the mall for a dress for our semi-formal tomorrow – I’m so excited, it’s so fun to get dressed up with everyone.

I got up early this morning to study for my test and made my usual coffee with skim and PureVia.  A couple hours later I made a new yogurt bowl!

PB051194I mixed a single serve of plain 0% Chobani with about 1/3 cup of pumpkin and added cinnamon and the walnut pieces from an Emerald Nuts 100 calorie pack of almonds & walnuts.  Then I added a cup of MultiGrain Cheerios:

It was great but definitely needed vanilla extract, which we don’t have in the house :(.  The walnuts were a great addition too although I wish I had added more.  It wasn’t very filling though – I’m hungry again just three hours later – and not just for a snack.  Before I go shopping, I’m definitely stopping at the dining hall for a ginorm salad.  I also stopped at the Student Union for another coffee before my test, a hazelnut with skim and Splenda.  5 hours of sleep does not cut it for me, to the point where caffeine doesn’t help at all.

I was planning a short run for after my test but I’m so sleepy and it’s COLD and windy out.  Worst combo ever.  The cold I can deal with, but it just gets so hard to breathe in the wind.  I’m hoping it’ll be nicer by this afternoon but if not, I’ll just do some yoga – my shoulders and upper back have been so tight!

See you later!

.. is the forecast for today.  I’m going to try to squeeze a run in before this Indian summer disappears.

After the test I set myself up for, I headed back to my dorm, found my ID, changed, and went to the gym.  No harm done.  15 minutes on the bike (I get so bored and Women’s Health was not doing it for me this month) and 20 minutes on the stair stepper and I called it a day.

But back to lunch …

PA200915PA200916The usual (how do you spell the abbreviation for usual??) – Arnold’s 100% WW Sandwich thin with pepper turkey, Laughing Cow Garlic & Herb, sriracha, and romaine, + the other half of my apple from breakfast.

In between work and the gym, I ate some almonds and walnuts for some non-bar energy.

I actually made dinner last night (not a wrap!) and it was full of veggies!

Romaine with the last of my bbq tofu, hummus blob, feta, mango lime salsa (a lá Stonewall Kitchen), and a baked sweet potato.

Literally I threw random things I found in my tiny fridge into the salad and it turned out pretty good.  I probably wouldn’t put the bbq tofu in there again, since it wasn’t savory like the rest of it and didn’t really go well.  I also had an apple that was supposed to be in there, but when I chopped it open parts of it were gray?  Normal.  Into the garbage it went.

After sorority things and a meeting with friends to book our spring break trip (Ft. Lauderdale 2010!!), I came home starving at 11:30 and knew what I wanted.

The elusive pineapple Chobani I found weeks ago (Greek yogurt has a great fridge life) and has been waiting patiently for me ever since.

Roommate sleeping in dark = crappy flash pictures.  Fail of the month?  Waiting so long to eat this.  It. Was. AMAZING.  I was weary of the pineapple-yogurt combo, but Chobani knows what they’re doing.  I should have had faith – they’ve never steered me wrong before.  What’s a little saturated fat for this decadence?  Because it really is decadent.  Mmmm I wish I had more …

Since my breakfast has so far consisted of this:

Toasted Maple Nut coffee with skim (back in stock) and PureVia + children’s literature of the Harlem Renaissance

I’m off to make some real breakfast!
